Alberto overviews the Academy’s course catalogue and teaches classes on information security, risk analysis and cybersecurity.
Since 2003 Alberto has been employed in Leonardo as a cybersecurity specialist, covering critical positions that range from the highly technical to management and governance: firewall architect and administrator, responsible for security architectures and standards, divisional information security manager, information security risk manager. While sitting in Leonardo Corporate special working groups he contributed to the company’s security framework, including information security policies, IT security requirement baseline, cybersecurity control framework, risk analysis methodology, risk management process. He has given support to the company’s Information Security Management System and its ISO/IEC 27001 certifications.
After earning his PhD in nuclear physics, Alberto Longhi has held a research associate position at Jefferson Lab accelerator facility (Virginia, USA) for a couple of years and has given essential contributions to 30+ scientific publications. Since 1999 he has been devoted to computer science exclusively, at first as systems administrator (Linux, Unix, VMS) of critical systems in campuses and industrial sites. Through years, he has been awarded several professional certifications, both vendor-specific certifications (Sun Microsystems, Cisco, Check Point), SANS/GIAC certifications (GSEC, GCIH, GCFA), and well-known information assurance certifications (CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer).
