Andrea Garavaglia works in the Cyber Security Research Center of Leonardo's Cyber & Security Solutions. With a degree in telecommunications engineering from the Milan Polytechnic University, Andrea has a consolidated experience in the development and use of integrated solutions to collect, trace, track, analyze, decode, and correlate data for Law Enforcement, Government and national and international Military Intelligence Agencies.
Andrea has been part of Leonardo since 2012, where he initially held the role of SOC analyst; then he moved to CERT's Incident Response and Digital Forensics contributing to improve his team's activities through the adoption of a number of open-source tools, also becoming a contributor for some of them such as MISP, The Hive, Cuckoo.
Andrea holds GCFA and GREM certifications and is also a maintainer of the open-source project OROCHI: The Volatility Collaborative GUI. He participates in international cyber threat intelligence working groups on the topic of as part of which he presented several speeches on malware clustering and about methods to improve code performance. Andrea also organizes and participates in Capture The Flag events in the cyber security field. Finally, being a big fan of Overclock, Magic and The Gathering, he does not miss any opportunity to disseminate themed clues within presentations and courses.
