In Leonardo for over 10 years, Matteo Scassa is part of the Red Team of Leonardo’s Cyber & Security Solutions where he mainly carries out vulnerability management and penetration testing activities for Public Administrations, Ministries, Universities and private sector companies. In this role Matteo also participated at the implementation of Leonardo's Cyber Trainer and Cyber Range platforms for national and international customers; in particular, he worked at the simulation of realistic attack scenarios and coordinating the attack and defence phases during exercises.
Previously Matteo was an analyst at Leonardo's CSIRT, where he managed of all incident handling process’ phases, performing digital forensic, static and dynamic malware analysis, mail analysis and early warning activities. 
Matteo has also been a trainer in public and private organisations delivering cyber security courses and writing the training material to support courses for I and II level analysts and CSIRT analysts. 

Previously, Matteo was aII level analyst at Leonardo's Global Security Operation Centre with the task of monitoring security events, managing protection equipment and cyber incidents in real time.

Matteo began his career thanks to a great passion for information technology, in particular for GNU/LINUX systems, which has led him over time to acquire skills in cyber security and ethical hacking, successfully obtaining numerous certifications, including SANS and EC-Council. He has also participated in several “work-oriented” Capture The Flag (CTF), supporting Leonardo and the clients involved.
